Well it’s been a long time since I have posted anything on my website. I have been busy in the background getting the website all updated and of course I have been working on some new products too. There’s still a few creases to iron out on the website design and I hope to have a lot more content added in the next weeks and months. Here is one in the works. It’s a new LoREZ Crypt Dweller figure that will compliment the LoREZ Skeleton I did a while ago (this is getting updated with new Iray shaders). The aim is to have this LoREZ Crypt Dweller take on all the armour I did for the LoREZ Skeleton, so it’s be possible to have a more diverse low resolution army. There are plans afoot to do more LoREZ products in the near future. I’m itchy to put together some large Warhammer styled images.
Here you can see the detailed sculpt I’m doing in ZBrush for the normal and displacement maps. Just need to finish off the hands and then get the texture map started. Once in DAZ Studio I’m also going to try and see how this will work with sub division. At the moment the polygon count is only 5870, which a nice starting point for a low resolution model. I can then project this hi-res sculpt and get some nice HD morphed wrinkles. I have to say the new Zbrush 4R8 is just amazing, so many new and exciting tools to help me create more 3D figures.
I’m hoping to have this all finished and uploaded for testing by the middle of July or there abouts. Then I need to get some more LoREZ figures ready to fight this army of the dead. I do have a few Medieval Soldiers that need finishing off which may fit the bill.
